Sausage Balls
Ingredients
Sausage Balls
- 1 lb Jimmy Dean low fat sausage
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1 egg
Sauce
- 1 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons dry sherry
- 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients and roll into half-inch balls.
- Fry in a cast iron pan until well done and browned.
- For the sauce, combine ketchup, soy sauce, dry sherry, and brown sugar in a saucepan and heat until the sugar is melted and the sauce is bubbly.
- Pour the warm sauce over the sausage balls or serve it on the side.
Notes
- You can also heat the sauce in the microwave until bubbly, stirring often.
