Easy French Toast Recipe

Ingredients
- 4 slices of bread (preferably slightly stale or thick-cut like brioche or challah)
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup milk (or any plant-based alternative)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional but delicious)
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
- Pinch of salt
- Butter or oil for frying

Make the custard In a shallow bowl or dish, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt until smooth.

Soak the bread Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture. Let each side soak for about 10–15 seconds (longer if using thick bread).
